GONZALES, Texas — An amber alert has been issued for a 14-year-old in Gonzales, Texas.
According to the alert issued by Amber Alert website, Scarlett Smith, is listed as abducted.
Smith is said to have been last seen wearing wearing a red Nike hoodie.
She is described as white, with auburn or red hair and hazel eyes. Smith is reportedly 5'4.
According to the alert, authorities are also looking for a current suspect, Barry Van Mersbergen, who is described as a 22-year-old white male.
Authorities are also looking for a tan 2012 GMC Terrain with Texas license plate, 3RVWG.
