KILLEEN, Texas — A 66-year-old woman is dead after being hit by a car in Killeen, on Wednesday August 7.
According to Killeen Police Department, they were called to the intersection of 38th Street and Atkinson Avenue at around 8:48 a.m. Upon arrival officers found a woman who had been hit.
According to officers, the pedestrian was walking west on 38th Street in a crosswalk, when a gray Ford pick-up truck traveling east on Atkinson Avenue, turned north onto North 38th Street, hitting the pedestrian before completing the turn.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. According to KPD, the victim died there.
According to KPD, the victim's identity has not yet been made public.
KPD is still investigating this incident.
