ROCKDALE, Texas — A suspect has been arrested for an alleged aggravated assault that took place on Friday, May 24, according to the Rockdale Police Department.
Rockdale PD said 44-year-old Quincy Arnett was identified as a suspect. There were no reported injuries during this assault, officers said.
According to officers, they were called to the the Shady Grove RV Park located at 987 W. US Hwy 79 at around 2:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers began receiving shots from an RV within the trailer park, towards US 79. Rockdale Officers took protective positions behind their vehicles and stopped all traffic on US 79 to protect bystanders as the suspect continued to fire his gun in the direction of the officers.
According to officers, they approached the suspect’s residence with armored vehicles, resulting in the suspect’s surrender.
Arnett is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Public Servant. No bond has been set at this time, officers said.
