MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — A McLennan County Grand Jury has indicted a man on multiple charges for a crash that killed an 81-year-old woman in May 2023.
32-year-old Lee Jordan Murrow has been indicted for manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault in the crash, according to the Court of McLennan County.
According to the Waco Police Department, the crash took place on May 17, 2023.
Police said the crash occurred when an 81-year-old woman, identified as Dorthey Small, was traveling south on MLK Blvd in Waco.
Waco Police said Small tried to make a U-turn and was hit by another vehicle, which then hit a third vehicle.
Small and a 3-year-old passenger in her vehicle were reportedly ejected from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital where Small reportedly died.
The 3-year-old suffered minor injuries, according to Waco PD.
According to the indictment, Murrow was traveling at excessive speeds and failed to yield the right of way.
