LITTLE RIVER-ACADEMY, Texas — Three Little River-Academy fire fighters were arrested Wednesday after reportedly blocking in a victim with their vehicles and using red and blue emergency lights, according to the Bell County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched to FM 93 and Spur 93 around 11:30 Wednesday morning in reference to an armed suspect. The complainant said the men left toward Academy, T.J Cruz, spokesperson for BCSO said.
According to a press release, deputies later stopped James Mercer, Joshua Adkins and John Burroughs during a traffic stop. Cruz confirmed the men were volunteer fire fighters in Little River-Academy.
Charges for impersonating a public servant were filed Friday, and bond was set at $100,000 for each suspect.
