WACO, Texas — A man has been arrested in Waco for a 2023 murder, the Waco Police Department announced Monday.
According to Waco PD, 23-year-old Demerrion Crayton was served an arrest warrant for the 2023 murder of 24-year-old Michael Everett that happened last November.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of N. 6th Street around 9:53 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, Waco PD said, in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they reportedly found Everett on the scene, having been shot. Everett was reportedly taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he died two days later.
Crayton was reportedly served the warrant at the McLennan County Jail, where he was already being held on an unrelated arrest.
