Suspect in shooting turns herself into Bryan PD

Police say the suspect, who had a warrant out for her arrest, turned herself in on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

BRYAN, Texas — A 22-year-old woman is dead after an apparent isolated shooting in Bryan on Aug. 5, according to the Bryan Police Department.

Bryan PD stated officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim in the 700 block of Dansby Street around 9:18 p.m. that evening.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found a woman who had been shot. The woman was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital ER where she later died, police said.

Bryan PD identified the woman as 22-year-old Keianna Hines of Bryan.

The day after the shooting took place, the suspect, who had a warrant out for her arrest on an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge, turned herself into the Bryan Police Department. The suspect was identified on Wednesday as Dequanjna Johnson of Bryan.
