TEMPLE, Texas — October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Temple Police Department is asking for the community's help to support victims.

On Thursday, Oct. 24, Temple PD will host its 2nd annual Donation Drive-Thru for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. From 4-6:30 p.m., the department will collect donations of hygiene products and clothing for adults, children and infants in the police department parking lot.

More information on the donation drive, including the full donation list, can be found on the Temple PD Victim Services website at this link.

In addition to the donation drive, Temple PD is also highlighting its Victim Services Unit for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, especially the work of Crime Victim Liaison Lisa Hatfield and Family Violence Case Manager Victoria Bryant.

The department says Hatfield and Bryant work with the special crimes unit to support victims, ensuring they know their rights, addressing case concerns and connecting them with local organizations for shelter and essential resources.
