TEMPLE, Texas — Temple Fire & Rescue crews extinguished a structure fire at 1811 E. Ave K on Saturday, July 27.
Five occupants will be displaced from the apartment and no injuries were reported.
According to the department, at about 6:45 a.m., crews arrived to the Renata Square Apartments, and saw heavy smoke and flames coming from an upstairs unit at the complex.
The department says workers evacuated the area. According to the department the facility’s extinguishment system worked as designed, containing the flames, and limiting fire spread.
There are other residents around the affected complex that will have minor water and smoke damage.
According to the department, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
