Temple establishes recovery taskforce to aid tornado victims

This initiative aims to connect affected residents with vital resources to aid in the recovery process.

TEMPLE, Texas — In response to the devastating impact of the recent tornado, the City of Temple has taken proactive measures by instituting the Temple Recovery Taskforce

This initiative aims to connect affected residents with vital resources to aid in the recovery process.

The taskforce offers a range of services, including debris removal, home repair, and water damage restoration, all provided at no cost. However, it's important to note that services requiring licensed skilled tradesmen, such as plumbing or electrical work, are not within the scope of assistance provided by the taskforce.

To streamline the process, the city has partnered with local organizations through Crisis Cleanup, a free website facilitating coordination among government entities, non-profits, and faith-based recovery teams.

Residents can submit requests for assistance via Crisis Cleanup's hotline at 512-201-4814. These services are facilitated by local organizations, not directly by the City of Temple, and there is no guarantee that all requests will be fulfilled.

Additionally, affected individuals and businesses may be eligible for Federal Disaster Loans through the United States Small Business Association.

Those seeking further information or wishing to apply can visit the website.
