WACO, Texas — If something smells fishy around the Lake Waco Wetlands, don't worry, it's probably because Nora's Pond has been restocked with fish for the season.
The City of Waco said Texas Parks and Wildlife stocked the pond with rainbow trout, and the City is encouraging residents to get outside, enjoy the weather and test out those new fishing rods.
The daily bag limit for rainbow trout at the Wetlands is five per day, according to the City of Waco.
If the main gate is closed, the City says visitors can use the overflow parking and enter the pedestrian gate on foot.
The City also reminded potential fishers that fishing licenses are required for most people over the age of 17. More information on the requirements can be found on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.
