Killeen Recreation Services receives nearly $6,000 to beautify parks

The funds will go toward planting trees at Stewart Park and planting flower beds at Lions Neighborhood Park.

KILLEEN, Texas — The City of Killeen's Recreation Services received a $5,900 donation from the Lions Club Foundation to help beautify Stewart Park and Lions Neighborhood Park, the city announced. 

The funds will go toward placing trees at Stewart Park and planting flower beds at Lions Neighborhood Park.

Volunteers recently participated in a one-day community service project focused on installing a crushed granite trail and planting trees on Love Your Park Day, which was July 10.
