KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen ISD employees are getting a pay increase for the upcoming school year, thanks to the compensation plan approved by the Board of Trustees at its meeting on July 30.
“We appreciate the Board of Trustees for their thoughtful discussion and approval of this compensation package,” Superintendent of Schools Jo Ann Fey said. “Our budget was tight this year, but our trustees found a way to reinforce that we value our hardworking, dedicated and talented staff.”
The new starting salary for a teacher will be $58,000. Non-exempt staff such as paraprofessionals, custodians, bus drivers and school nutritional staff will receive a four percent increase. All other staff will receive a three percent increase.
