KILLEEN, Texas — The City of Killeen recently installed solar lights at two city parks. Conder Park got 18 new lights and Long Branch Park received 16 new lights.
The initiative from the city to improve the parks comes during National Parks & Recreation Month.
The combined 34 new solar-powered lights not only allow residents to utilize park facilities at night, but also helps the city reduce its environmental footprint.
