Killeen bridal shop gives away free dresses to military, first responder brides

Cinderella Couture partnered with Brides Across America to give away 14 dresses to women connected to veterans, active military and first responders.

KILLEEN, Texas — A group called Brides Across America is looking to do what they can to make wedding dreams come true for brides connected to the military and first responders.

On Thursday, the group set up shop at Cinderella Couture in Killeen hoping to give away 14 dresses. An employee at the store said Brides Across America contacted the shop last spring to help out.

The free dresses from the group were donated by other brides, but Cinderella Couture was offering its own discount on dresses for sale if a bride couldn't find a donated dress she loved.

"This has a huge impact on so many of these women you're helping," Jessica Carter, a bride-to-be said. "It's just amazing. It's a great feeling. We're super grateful."
