HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas — Harker Heights Fire Department crews extinguished a structure fire at 1424 Hopi Trail on Thursday, April 11.
All occupants were out of the home. A family pet was rescued and taken to a local animal control, firefighters said.
According to the department, at about 2:15 p.m., crews arrived to the single-story family home, and saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the occupancy.
The department says all of the occupants were unharmed. According to the department, fire attack and search operations were immediately initiated.
The fire was extinguished and did not spread beyond the property.
