The Greater Killeen Community Clinic is hosting its annual Dental Day: Killeen Day of Smiles event on Friday, Sept. 13, and is offering free dental services for those who qualify.

Partnering with Killeen Family Dentistry, the event will offer free services such as extractions or fillings for those who meet the criteria at the Killeen Arts & Activities Center beginning at 8 a.m. and running to 12 p.m.

To qualify, residents must be 18 or older, must be low income and must have no dental insurance. Numbers will reportedly be given out to the first 100 attendees and services will be on a first come, first serve basis.

“This is an outreach we enjoy partnering with local dental clinics to give back,” Executive Director TaNeika Driver-Moultrie said in a release about the event. “Dental service is much needed in our community. We hope in the near future we will be able to offer more free dental services.”

The Greater Killeen Community Clinic is a non-profit United Way agency, according to the organization. It is located at 718 N. 2nd St, Ste. A. Patients are seen Monday-Thursday by appointment only.
