FORT CAVAZOS, Texas — Fort Cavazos is gearing up for the launch of its newest transportation service, the Cavazos Connector, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. on March 2.
One of the innovative features of the Micro Transit System is its integration with the Circulator Route, allowing for easy connectivity between the barracks and the Copeland Center.
The Cavazos Connector, currently in the testing phase, consist of two main components: the Micro Transit System and the Circulator Route.
The Micro Transit System comprises five zones, functioning similarly to popular rideshare applications, while the Circulator Route boasts 28 stops strategically located at medical facilities, gyms, dining establishments, and Exchange locations within the installation.
Passengers can use an app to book a trip to the Copeland Center, where they can then catch a bus to their final destination. To minimize wait times, the Circulator Route operates at a frequency of once every twenty minutes.
Members of the media interested in covering the ribbon-cutting ceremony are advised to contact (254) 289-2317 by 3 p.m. on Feb. 29.
