CORYELL COUNTY, Texas — Local fire departments have successfully extinguished two fires in Coryell County after a coordinated response on Saturday, August 17.
The Flat, Oglesby, and Gatesville fire departments responded to a structure fire on South State Highway 36, across from the Flat Post Office, according to firefighters.
Meanwhile, the Evant, Copperas Cove, and Gatesville fire departments worked together to extinguish a brush fire on Harmon Road. Crews remained on scene to ensure the area was fully secured.
The cause of both fires is under investigation. Authorities are urging residents to continue exercising caution in these areas while emergency crews complete their work.
