Copperas Cove Fire Department contain house fire, no injuries reported

According to firefighters the building was unoccupied and firefighters were able to rescue five dogs who are all okay.

COPPERAS COVE, Texas — Copperas Cove Fire Department swiftly responded to a house fire on Saturday, April 13.

According to firefighters the building was unoccupied and firefighters were able to rescue five dogs who are all okay.

Officers responded to the structure fire around 2:25 p.m. The fire took place in the 600 blk of Cedar Dr.

According to Firefighters, they found a two story home  with significant fire coming through the roof and flames were being fanned by winds in excess of 20 mph. 

After an hour Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. Nine people were displaced due to the damages done to the house, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation with the, firefighters said.
