TEMPLE, Texas — Multiple Central Texas agencies congratulated the next class of law enforcement officers this December.
The Temple Police Department, Killeen Police Department, Madison County Sheriff's Office and Texas A&M University Police Department all congratulated the new graduates of the Police Academy or Basic Peace Officers Course.
The Temple Police Department congratulated Class 2024-B on their graduation from the Temple Police Academy, saying the men and woman are now prepared to begin their careers in law enforcement.
"We commend their hard work and commitment to service and wish them the best as they serve and protect their communities," said Temple PD in a post on social media.
The Killeen Police Department extended their congratulations to Basic Peace Officers Course Class #40.
"Your commitment, determination, and hard work have paid off, and we couldn’t be prouder of your achievement," said Killeen PD in a post. "You’ve completed a challenging journey and are now prepared to serve and protect the citizens of Killeen."
The Madison County Sheriff's Office congratulated both the newest academy graduate and their newest recruit, Deputy Aaron Reardon. Reardon reportedly graduated the TEEX Central Texas Police Academy on Dec. 10 and was sworn in directly after.
MCSO said Reardon is "eager to begin his career in law enforcement and excited to serve the citizens of Madison County."

The Texas A&M University Police Department also welcomed three new officers after their completion of the Central Texas Police Academy’s 177th Basic Peace Officer Course.
Jack Cross, Nathan Stanfield and Ian Zurek will reportedly begin field training on Monday, Dec. 16, spending the next 20 weeks paired with Field Training Officers to learn the duties of being a police officer at Texas A&M University.
