TEMPLE, Texas — Community members are coming together to honor two Central Texas teens who died after being hit by a motorcycle on Sunday, May 26.
A balloon release will be held at the North Belton Middle School Football Field at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 30 in honor of 15-year-old Jaelanni Baity and 14-year-old Nyree Jones.
Baity and Jones were best friends and students at North Belton Middle School.
Those who attend are asked to bring pink, green and white balloons.
Belton ISD has offered condolences to the families of the two girls and says counselors will be available to their classmates.
