WACO, Texas — Someone in Waco is now a millionaire -- that is, if they claim their winning Powerball Ticket before it expires.
The Texas Lottery said the winning ticket matches five numbers drawn for the Jan. 13 drawing was purchased in Waco at ALTX Management, located at 3630 Interstate 35 S. Yet... it still hasn't been claimed.
Now, they are asking people who purchased their ticket here to check their numbers before the July 12 deadline.
That winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn, which were 4-19-23-25-49, but not the Powerball number, 14.
“We encourage our Powerball players to take another look at their tickets, check the numbers again and if your numbers match, sign the back of the ticket and contact us to request an appointment to claim your prize,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery.
If you've won, you can claim your winnings by making an appointment online or call 800-375-6886. You can also claim your winnings by mail, but it must be postmarked by July 12.
If not... well, you forfeit your lump sum of cash. The money will then go to the state for programs authorized by the Texas Legislature.
