TEMPLE, Texas — KCEN 6 News is hosting our 2nd Annual Fill-the-Car Supply Drive! We're taking care of teachers ahead of the school year and you can help make sure Central Texas teachers have what they need for their classrooms this year!
The supply drive is on Aug. 8 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. at three locations:
- Greg May Honda 1601 W. Loop 340 in Waco
- Central Fire Station 210 N. 3rd St. in Temple
- Central Fire Station 201 N. 28th St. in Killeen

Temple Police Association - 3rd annual Blue Santa backpack giveaway program
- No longer accepting applications
- Approved families will receive a postcard in the mail with the pick-up location
- Approved families can pick up supplies on July 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Waco Family & Faith International Film Festival Barbeque & Back-to-School Picnic
- What: Free backpacks with school supplies and free barbeque & games
- When: Friday, July 26, from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.
- Where: TSTC’s Murray Watson Jr. Student Recreation Center (2025 Campus Drive)
Nolanville Faith Christian Church - 2nd Annual Back-to-School Bash
- What: Free backpack with school supplies for students entering Pre-K – 12th grade to Killeen and Belton
- When: Friday, July 26, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
