WACO, Texas — Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas' Fall Hiring Fair is set to take place on Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at McLennan Hall in Waco.
The event, recognized as one of the largest in the region, is expected to draw more than 60 employers and over 300 job seekers.
The key highlight of the event is the participation of over 60 local employers representing diverse industries, offering a collective total of more than 1,500 job openings. The fair welcomes both job seekers and employers with free admission and provides dedicated interview spaces for immediate hiring opportunities during the event.
Notable employers such as Hello Bello, AbbVie, Brazos River Authority, Baylor Club and Support Services Group will be present, providing job seekers the chance to establish direct connections, apply for positions and even secure on-the-spot interviews.
Jose Palacios, Manager of Business and Industry Initiatives, emphasized the significance of the fair for job seekers, stating, "Job seekers can network directly with industry leaders, apply and submit applications and even secure on-the-spot interviews." Palacios also highlighted the event's role in fostering economic growth within the Heart of Texas, benefiting both the local workforce and businesses.
