Waco and McLennan County pet owners can stop by Brazos Park East to have their pets vaccinated and microchipped.

WACO, Texas — Calling all pet owners!

The City of Waco is hosting a free microchip and vaccine event for pets of all residents within the city limits on Sunday, Oct. 13.

From 10 a.m.-12 p.m., those who live within the Waco city limits can stop by Brazos Park East, located at 3100 N Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., to have their pets receive free microchips, Rabies vaccines and DAPP (Distemper Adenovirus Parvo Parainfluenza) vaccines.

Animals must be spayed or neutered to receive the microchips and vaccines for free. Vaccines and microchips for non-spayed/neutered pets will cost $10, said the City.

Not a Waco resident? No worries, the City said pets of all McLennan County residents can still receive a rabies vaccine for $10.

Those who wish to attend are told to bring proof of residence, such as a Waco water bill, electricity bill or rental agreement.
