TEMPLE, Texas — This week's perfect pet is Zoey and Anubis! Zoey is a gentle giant who awaits her chance for a loving family to call her own.
She is an adult female German Shepherd, is a striking tricolor coat of brown, black, and white, adding to her allure.
With a demeanor as friendly as her appearance suggests, Zoey has won over the hearts of all who meet her. Described as gentle and affectionate, she has a particular fondness for kisses and snuggles, making her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal furry friend.
Zoey, a large dog with a medium-length coat, is not just charming but also well-mannered. She is house-trained, ensuring a smooth transition into her new home. Moreover, her health is cared for, with vaccinations up to date and having been spayed.
This loving German Shepherd is not one to be alone, thriving in the company of other dogs and children.
For those eager to welcome Zoey into their lives, the adoption process comes with a fee of $150.00, a small price to pay for a lifetime of companionship and joy.
If Zoey's irresistible charm has captured your heart and you're interested in providing him with a forever home, he eagerly awaits your visit at Pearl's Place.
In the heart of Fort Cavazos, there lies Anubis, an approximately 4-year-old male American Bully/Pit Bull mix, who is also looking for his forever home.
Described as a very friendly companion, Anubis is quick to charm all who cross his path. With impeccable leash manners and a commendable effort to maintain cleanliness in his kennel, Anubis showcases his well-mannered demeanor.
Despite his calm disposition indoors, Anubis's playful spirit shines through, as he eagerly engages with any toy presented to him.
"While he's inside, he's generally just a very well-mannered boy," shelter staff said.
However, they advise that due to his playfulness, a home with older children or no young children would be ideal. Once the games start, Anubis's playful antics may overshadow his usual decorum.
Although he arrived at the shelter with a female companion who has since found her forever home, Anubis is recommended for adoption into a household without male dogs.
Prospective adopters should note that Anubis, due to his breed, cannot be placed in homes on Fort Cavazos. Additionally, proof of rabies vaccination and neuter will be required as part of the adoption process.
For those eager to welcome Anubis into their lives, a visit to the Fort Cavazos Animal Shelter at 4902 Engineer Dr. is highly encouraged. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
