TEMPLE, Texas — This week's perfect pet is Piper, a strong-willed and loyal dog who is patiently awaiting a caring home.
Piper was found when she was only three and a half months old, missing a leg and in really bad shape. Pearl's Place in Temple took her in and nurtured her to health.
Although it is unclear what exactly Piper had to go through at the start of her life, physical and emotional scars remain. Piper can be a little shy at times, especially around new faces but that is to be expected. Once she warms up to you she's all yours.
Now at four months old, Piper is full of energy and ready to take on anything thrown her way!
