TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department is celebrating the retirement of a longtime member, Deputy Chief Jeff Clark.
Temple PD announced that Clark recently retired after 31 years of "dedicated service" at the department, and asked the public to join them in the celebrating him.
Throughout his career, Clark has been a "respected leader and mentor", said Temple PD, leaving a "lasting impact" on both the community and the department.
"We are deeply grateful for [Clark's] unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions," said Temple PD in a post on social media commemorating Clark's retirement. "Deputy Chief Clark, we wish you all the best as you begin this well-deserved chapter of your life. Thank you for your service."
Clark has reportedly been selected to be the next Chief of Police at the Gatesville Police Department.
