KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Explorers have a few more awards to add to their trophy case.
The Killeen Police Department announced that their Explorers team, made up of young adults learning about law enforcement, earned multiple top placements at the 8th Annual Officer John Sartain Corpus Christi Police Department Explorers Competition, which reportedly saw teams from across the state compete.
KPD said the Explorers earned the following placements:
- 1st Place – Traffic/Crash Investigation
- 1st Place – Arrest, Search, & Seizure
- 1st Place – Physical Fitness Challenge – Female
- 2nd Place – Burglary Call
- 2nd Place – Disturbance Call
According to Killeen PD, the Killeen Police Explorers is a community service-based volunteer program for youth and young adults age 15-20 to learn more about becoming a law enforcement professional.
