Dr. Terri D. Osborne named new deputy superintendent at Killeen ISD

Dr. Terri D. Osborne will begin serving as deputy superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and School Leadership on Sept. 30.

KILLEEN, Texas — Dr. Terri D. Osborne has been named the new deputy superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and School Leadership at Killeen ISD, the district has announced.

According to Killeen ISD, the Board of Trustees approved Osborne's appointment to the position at a meeting on Sept. 17. Osborne will begin working in the district on Sept. 30.

“Dr. Osborne has a passion for student learning coupled with a wealth of school leadership experience and a background in various sized districts,” Killeen ISD Superintendent Dr. Jo Ann Fey said. “She is poised to lead our Killeen ISD team of educators to accomplish our board-adopted priorities surrounding student success.”

According to Killeen ISD, Osborne has held administrative positions in Houston-area schools systems since 2018, including serving as a high school principal and special projects coordinator in Humble ISD and assistant superintendent of secondary schools in Aldine ISD.

Osborne's teaching and campus leadership experience goes back to 2008 and includes experience in schools in Mesquite, Germany, Irving and Garland, said Killeen ISD. She also was named Secondary Principal of the Year in Humble ISD in 2022 and Teacher of the Year in Mesquite ISD in 2010.

“I am excited to be part of the rich and diverse communities that make Killeen ISD so special, and I’m inspired by the bold vision and strategic priorities that will drive positive outcomes for all students,” Osborne said. “I look forward to building strong relationships at every level and contributing to the foundation of excellence that already exists.”
