Groesbeck Police Department Junior Officer comes to the rescue of resident

The Groesbeck Police Department said Junior Officer Lincoln crawled through a doggy door to help a resident who had locked themselves out of their house.

GROESBECK, Texas — One of the Groesbeck Police Department's youngest members saved the day recently after a resident became locked out of their home.

Groesbeck PD said they recently responded to assist a "local, elderly" resident who had accidentally locked themselves out of their house with no way to get back inside.

Since all the doors and windows of the house were reportedly locked, Groesbeck PD said they contacted Junior Officer Lincoln, who they said was able to crawl through a doggy door and unlock the door for the resident.

"Junior Officer Lincoln has been with us for a few years now, and we appreciate his willingness to help out when he's needed," said Groesbeck PD in a post on social media thanking the young officer for his help.
