Franklin woman raising money to represent U.S. in archery at 3D World Championships

Julie Jones has qualified to represent America at the 3D World Championships in Slovenia this fall, and is asking for help to get there.

FRANKLIN, Texas — A Texas woman is taking aim at a world archery championship, and is asking for help from the community to get there.

Julie Jones of Franklin, Texas recently qualified for the USA Archery Team, and will be part of the team representing the United States in Slovenia at the 3D World Championships, held from Sept. 28-Oct. 6, according to a GoFundMe she has created.

The competition is a self-funded endeavor, according to Jones' GoFundMe, with athletes covering the full cost of expenses. Because of this, Jones has created the GoFundMe to help raise money to cover the costs of the trip.

The goal of the GoFundMe is currently set at $7,500. To donate, or for more information, visit this link.
