Five Shoemaker High School seniors awarded full-package scholarships from Central Texas College Foundation

The combined value of the scholarships totals $125,000, said CTC.

KILLEEN, Texas — Five seniors from Shoemaker High School in Killeen have earned a total of over $100,000 in scholarships to Central Texas College and beyond.

Treazure Middlebrook, Abbiegayle Morales, Summer Sweeney, Myracle Thomas and Trystyn Neal have all signed awards receiving four-year, full-package scholarships from the Central Texas College Foundation, announced Central Texas College (CTC).

On May 7, the Wolf Warrior Endowed Scholarship signing event was held in the Shoemaker High School Library, said CTC, where the students were presented the scholarships by Central Texas College Chancellor Dr. Michele J. Carter.

According to the college, the award package for each senior includes a two-year scholarship at Central Texas College leading to an associate's degree, followed by two years at A&M-Central Texas leading to a bachelor's degree. 

The combined value of the recipient's awards totals $125,000, said CTC.

The event was reportedly also attended by Central Texas College Foundation Board Chair Clarence Enochs, Killeen ISD Superintendent Dr. JoAnn Fey, Shoemaker Principal Latisha Williams, and Vicky Ferguson of Texas A&M University - Central Texas. 

CTC said the Foundation has grown to nearly 226 endowed scholarships and a $13 million endowment since it was established in 1992, and has awarded nearly $4 million in scholarships.
