NOLANVILLE, Texas — Four Central Texas firefighters/EMTs earned their stork pins this December after helping to deliver a baby.

On Dec. 2, 2023, four members of Central Bell Fire & Rescue were dispatched to reports of a mother in labor with twins, Central Bell shared on a social media post.

Lt. Kevin Burzesi, Firefighter/EMT Mike O'Connor, Firefighter/EMT Robert Hadrick and Probationary Firefighter Dakota Langenfeldt reportedly assisted in delivering the first baby on the scene and performed life-saving measures on the baby while taking care of the mother until she arrived at the hospital.

For their actions, the firefighters received stork pins, a token of appreciation for assisting a mother with a delivery in the field.
