WACO, Texas — On Wednesday, Oct. 11, a beloved Bosqueville resident and trucker was laid to rest.
Fred Beeson's final drive, however, was a memorable one, being taken to his final resting place on the back of his very own rig.
Lake Shore Funeral Home in Waco shared the occasion in a social media post honoring Beeson's last ride.
"Lake Shore was given the honor of laying to rest trucker and Bosqueville resident, Fred Beeson," said the funeral home in the post. "Doing it Fred's way - on the back of Fred's rig - with a 'convoy procession'".
The home shared videos of the procession as Beeson's rig made its way down the road, accompanied by a police escort and numerous other trucks paying their respects.

According to Lake Shore Funeral Home, Beeson was born on Feb. 17, 1958, and died on Oct. 8, 2023.
Numerous comments on the home's post shared fond memories of Beeson and thanked him for his impact on the community.
According to a personal friend of Beeson, he is now laid to rest next to his wife, who passed away in 2021.
"Hammer down... Heaven Bound," read a memorial flyer shared by the home. "You will truly be missed".
