Four Belton High School seniors bring home gold medals at SkillsUSA national championship

BHS said the four seniors competed in the Teamworks division among the top 47 construction programs in the country.

BELTON, Texas — Four seniors from Belton High School took a trip to Atlanta this summer to compete in the SkillsUSA National Championship.

They returned not only as proud competitors, but as national champions!

Belton ISD shared on social media that the team brought home gold medals as national champs in the Teamworks division of the competition, taking on 47 of the top construction programs across the country.

The team, made up of carpenter Misael Cuevas, plumber Evan Hall, mason Oscar Flores and electrician Kyler Quinn, were led by Coach Michael Carrillo (reportedly better known as Mr. C) and will reportedly have their own float in the Belton Fourth of July Parade!
