City of Killeen kicks off annual Christmas Toy Drive

Those who would like to donate can drop off new and unused gifts at the Family Recreation Center until Dec. 3.

KILLEEN, Texas — It's almost the season of giving, and the City of Killeen is giving residents an opportunity to do just that.

The City has begun its annual Christmas Toy Drive, meant to provide holiday gifts to those in need in the community.

Through Dec. 3, the Junior Youth Advisory Commission will be collecting donations of new and unused toys or other gifts to provide presents and some holiday cheer to those who may otherwise not receive any this holiday season.

Donations can be dropped off at the Killeen Family Recreation Center, located at 1700 East Stan Schlueter Lp. in Killeen. Donated gifts should be unwrapped when dropped off.

In an announcement on social media, the City asked residents to "Support our Junior Youth Advisory Commission in their mission to bring smiles to children's faces!"
