Annual Central Texas Community Veterans Day Parade to take place on Nov. 11 in historic downtown Killeen

The parade will take place at 11 a.m., with the Veterans Administration presenting a certificate of recognition to Mayor Debbie Nash-King 15 minutes prior.

This year's Central Texas Community Veterans Parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11 in downtown Killeen starting at 11 a.m.

The theme of the parade is "Honoring All Who Served."

Shortly before the parade begins, at 10:45 a.m., the Veterans Administration will present Killeen Mayor Debbie Nash-King with a certificate of recognition on the steps of City Hall for Killeen's designation as a regional site for the Veterans Day celebration.

Parade entries will be accepted through Nov. 10. Click here for more info. There is no cost to enter.

The parade route will start on West Avenue D, next to City Hall, and travel from College Street down Avenue D to 8th Street. Afterwards, the parade will continue from 8th Street to Sprott Street, later heading down Gray Street. From Gray Street, the parade will head back down Avenue C, finishing at College Avenue.

Spectators are advised to arrive early to find good parking and viewing spots along the parade route.
