WACO, Texas — *Trilby Trayler is currently filled for drive-by sessions.
For millions of high school seniors across the country, the coronavirus has canceled some of the most important events in their lives. Trilby Trayler, the owner of Twenty Toes Photography, had the great idea of having drive-by senior photo sessions.
"The seniors are really missing out," Trayler said. "They are missing out on prom, softball games, everything. They need memories to look back on and say they are overcoming this."
They say a picture is worth a thousand words and if these pictures could talk, they will remind seniors across the nation about a year that no one will ever forget.
"I'm documenting history right now," Trayler said. "I mean, this is really history that will be looked back on and to be able to capture that is such a beautiful thing."
With prom and graduation currently on hold due to COVID-19, she is hoping seniors reflect back on this moment in time and cherish the good rather than the bad.
Trayler said there was no charge for her services. She also has social distancing procedures she uses for her photography sessions.
"I shoot with a long lens, so I'm far away," Trayler said. "I try to stay more than six feet because I really don't want to catch anything. I'm doing everything the way it should be."
Traylor wanted to help the seniors who are missing out on their final months in high school.
"They are in their homes, down about not being at school," Trayler said. "They are not going to prom, not going to all of the events. I couldn't believe the response that I got and that they were so thankful."
Trayler was thankful for the 150 people who have already reached out to her on Facebook. She knows these pictures will likely hang in family homes for years to come and is thankful for being able to share these moments with the class of 2020.
"They are the reason why that this project even happened," Trayler said. "I mean, it wouldn't have happened if no one said they wanted to do it. I'm thankful for all the seniors, all of the parents and I wish them the best, I really do. My heart is with them and we are praying that things will get better."
