CHINA SPRING, Texas — China Spring math teacher Lauren Dunlop had planned spend her Friday afternoon, getting her nails done in Waco. The last thing she expected was to see her friends, co-workers, current and former students parked outside of China Spring High School.
"When I turned the corner and I saw my students, I started crying," said Lauren Dunlop.
55 cars arrived just before 3 p.m. in the parking lot at China Spring High School. Majority of the cars were decorated in blue and pink.
"Mrs. Dunlop is one of the best teachers we have here," said Michael Donaldson. "But she's also one of our greatest friends."
Her co-workers wanted to start a library for baby Dunlop. Instead of a card, everyone brought a book with a little note from each person.
