TEMPLE, Texas — Temple's four-legged residents officially have a new place to call their own while they wait for their forever homes.
After major renovations, the Temple Animal Shelter will host a grand reopening, and rebranding, on Wednesday, Jan. 10, complete with an all-new name and new amenities for its furry tenants.
Over the past year, the City of Temple said the shelter has undergone renovations to "help create a comfortable space for the animals and provide an easy experience for visitors looking to find a four-legged friend."
The City will unveil the newly christened Heart to Home Animal Adoption Center at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. on Jan. 10, which will feature remarks from public officials, tours of the shelter's new spaces and giveaways.
Visitors can even bring home one of the shelter's animals with half-price adoptions!
The grand reopening ceremony is free and open to the public. It will be held at the shelter, which is located at 620 Mama Dog Circle in Temple, TX.
