Humane Society of Central Texas seeks help to save dogs from euthanasia

The dogs currently at risk for euthanasia exhibit behaviors that pose challenges to safely placing them in homes within the limited time frame available.

WACO, Texas — The Humane Society of Central Texas is urgently seeking assistance from the community as they face the threat of euthanasia for several dogs due to shelter overpopulation.

With four dogs already onsite without available kennels to accommodate them, the organization is dealing with the challenge of an increasing number of unhouseable strays.

The dogs currently at risk for euthanasia exhibit behaviors that pose challenges to safely placing them in homes within the limited time frame available.

Recognizing that these dogs may not be suitable for every household, the Humane Society emphasizes the need for positive outcomes for their friendlier, easier-to-place animals to buy time and stop the euthanasia risk.

The organization is actively seeking fosters, adopters, or rescue commitments to provide these dogs with the second chances they deserve.

Those willing to help are encouraged to visit the Humane Society of Central Texas at 2032 Circle Road to explore opportunities for support.
