WACO, Texas — On this episode of Be Lively, I got off the beaten path and headed to Homestead Craft Village.
I was blown away by how large and amazing this property, located at 608 Dry Creek Rd., was where craftsmen practice blacksmithing, woodworking, quilt-making and so much more.
There is something for everyone to enjoy on this more than 500-acre farm. The coolest part of Homestead Craft Village is that every skill they perform, they also teach in classes.
You can also purchase everything they make from furniture, metals, grits, cheeses, toys and wooden objects.
There are self-guided tours and scheduled tours. I opted for the self-guided tour and still saw everything they had to offer. I'd love to have taken a blacksmithing class in their forge or a woodworking class.
