TEMPLE, Texas β Get ready to stop and smell the tulips! The Robinson Family Farm in Temple is celebrating the arrival of spring with its Texas Tulip Fest that's opening to the public this weekend.
Starting on March 9 -- and only on Saturdays and Sundays -- the public can access the farm's tulip fields where over 100,000 tulips were planted.
Brian Robinson and his wife are excited to bring something like this to Central Texas.
"There's not many tulip farms in Texas," Robinson said . "You don't really get to have that experience without driving to Dallas, so really everybody's excited to have something like that here in Central Texas. I've always told my wife that it's the prettiest out here during the spring and no one gets to experience it. Tulips are a spring flower and we really thought let's bring people out so that they can see how pretty the farm is in the spring."
With each ticket, the public will have access to several activities and things to do, such as, but not limited to:
- Netherland inspired photo ops
- A wine and beer garden
- Food trucks and festival desserts
- Giant tulip sculptures
- Kid activities and attractions like a mega slide, bounce pad, playground, sand art, tug-a-war and ballzone
- Farm animals
Tickets are $16.95, but this price does not include taxes and fees. They are only sold online, which you can buy here. Children who are 2 years old and younger get in free.
The Robinson Family Farm is also planning an Easter Eggstravaganza and Spring Fest starting March 23 followed by an Eclipse Watch Fest on April 8.
