Your guide to the 2023 Salado Christmas Stroll

The annual Christmas Stroll will take place the first two weekends of December, here is everything you need to know!

SALADO, Texas — This weekend kicks off the Annual Salado, Texas Christmas Stroll, which brings in thousands of visitors each year! The stroll takes place the first Friday and Saturday and the second Friday and Saturday of December annually.

6 News Morning Meteorologist Whitney Huddleston has gathered information from many local small businesses that are offering deals, experiences and plenty of exciting activities to kick off the holiday season! 

Things will ramp up as the stroll begins Friday, Dec. 1, with many local businesses offering extended hours, freebies and fun incentives for coming by to visit. Here are some fun places to check out!:  

Salado Glassworks- Blow your own Christmas ornament! Located near Main St. and Royal St. intersection.

Barrow Brewing- Hosting a Christmas Market both this and next Saturday 12-6 p.m. $2 off flagship pints, vendors, food, music and more! Located near Main St. and Royal St. intersection.

Tango Charlie/Tex 28 Outfitters- Boutiques with clothing, accessories, etc. They will be hosting other small businesses, late hours to 10 p.m. during the stroll. They will also have Santa onsite on Dec. 10 from 5-7 p.m. Located next to Barrow Brewing on Royal St.

Salado General Store- Located at the corner of Main St. and Royal St., Salado General Store is hosting extended 10 a.m.-10 p.m. hours during the stroll! The Grinch will be onsite for photos; chocolates, ice cream, clothes, gadgets and more in this cute store (pro tip: if you're looking for candy for your kids, this is a great place to go!)

Salado Creek Jewelers- Stocking stuffers starting at $1 and up; Free charm with any $10+ purchase. Gift wrapping on $25+ purchases! Located at Main St. and Royal St.

Tablerock of Salado- Into theatre? Check out the production of A Christmas Carol on Dec. 1, 2, 8 and 9 at Tablerock. Doors at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. Make sure and bring a coat. Located at 409 Royal Street in Salado.

Templo La Hermosa- They'll have fresh Tamales, Street Tacos, Quesadillas at 405 N. Main!

Heritage Country Church- Stop by on Saturday, Dec. 2 for live music, free hot chocolate, apple cider & cookies. Located on Main St. in front of the Pizza Place restaurant.

Salado Luxury Properties- They'll be giving away hot chocolate and ornaments! Located at 7 S. Main St. #K.

The Nature Co.- Plenty of gifts to be purchased at this cute little house near Main St. and Pace Park Road! They have candles, children's clothing and gifts, decor, etc. They will host extended hours during the stroll.

Salado Church of Christ- Roast ur own S'mores for free, and grab a free bottled water. Located Between the troll bridge & The Pizza Place business on Main St.

The Wick & Burn- Candle making, vendors, holiday porch sign making and more! Located at 805 N Main in the back of the building.

Empresario Wines- Check out their seasonal Warm Apple Cider Sangria! They'll have live music, gift baskets, Texas Wines and more. Located in the beautiful two-story white house at 7 N Main St.

Presley Boutique- Located right behind Empresario Wines in a cute little house; they'll have a Hot Chocolate Bar, Hot Cider Bar, extended hours til 10 p.m., drawings for $100 gift cards and more. 

Woof.Salado- Drawings for gift cards, extended hours for the stroll and on Dec. 16, Santa will be on their patio for pictures!

Hey, Cookie! Of Salado- Customized yummy treats! They will be located at Woof.Salado, serving up some goodness!

Grigsby Farms- Want to make your house smell great? Grigsby Farms will have fresh Fraser Fir Christmas Trees at 917 Hackberry Road, first come first serve. Open 5-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. or Sellout Saturday/Sunday.

The Pixie Depot- Creative designs like T-Shirts, Repainting Furniture and more! They have a group painting in collaboration with Barrow Brewing coming up on Dec 6 and will be open for the Stroll both weekends. Register for their group painting here: www.pixiedepot.com.

Terlingua On Main- Live music, multiple food trucks, a visit from the Grinch Saturday evening, football on TV, games and more are on tap for this upbeat new place to check out at 112 N Main.

The Rose and Bee- Clothing, Shoes, Candles and more to check out at this cute place! Located at 600 N. Main.

Shoppes on Main & Marketplace Café & Creperie-  They will be open late on Saturday and until 5 p.m. on Sunday during the stroll; expect vendors, live music on the porch and plenty of gift choices for the holidays. Located at 22 N Main.

Parlour at the Village- They'll have skincare products, wellness, cosmetics and beauty specials to check out! Located at 560 N Main #2.

MAKS Mercantile- Stunning displays, home goods, vendors and more are on tap when you stop by MAKS; located at 680 N. Main. 

Giselle Salazar Photography & Avenue Hair Design- They'll have Christmas photos, raffles, hair care tips/products and deals! Located at Main St. and Pace Park Rd.

Lucy's Icehouse- Each Saturday of the stroll they'll have vendors set up; pro tip, try their nachos! Custom fluid art will be on tap at their bar and you can expect face painting, cookies with Mrs. Claus, custom art, live music and more. Located at 805 N. Main St.

The Local Vine in Salado- Located at 21 N Main Street (look for a cute light pink door!), they'll be pouring up some yummy wine.

The Pizza Place- Live music on both weekends of the stroll! Located at 230 N Main St.

That 70's Store- Located at 642B N. Main, they have mid-century modern furniture and decorations. They'll have food, live music and Elvis will be there!

Greenfields- They'll be teeing up some live music both weekends, delicious Christmas Cocktails and more. Located at 555 Pace Park Road.

Uniquely Salado- An artist Co-Op; they'll have artist booths, free hot dogs and cider, s'mores and various artists working on Saturday. Check them out at www.uniquelysalado.com.
