Killeen Police honoring victims, survivors of violent crime at ribbon hanging ceremony

In honor of National Crime Victims' Rights Week, Killeen PD will adorn the entrance of the department with ribbons in solidarity with those impacted by violence.

KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department is inviting community members to join them in honoring victims and survivors of violent crime this April.

On Monday, April 22, in honor of National Crime Victims' Rights Week, Killeen PD will host a ribbon hanging ceremony at the department, located at 3304 Community Blvd., in support and solidarity with those affected by violence in the community.

"As we gather to recognize the strength and resilience of victims and survivors, ribbons will adorn the entrance of our department throughout the week, serving as a reminder of our commitment to victims' rights," said the department in a post on social media.

The ceremony will be held from 1-2 p.m. on April 22, but the ribbons will remain on display at the department throughout National Crime Victims' Rights Week, said Killeen PD.
