'The ultimate geek experience' | Central Texas Comic Con coming to Waco in April

On April 27 and 28, Central Texans can meet celebrities, attend panels, shop from local vendors and more.

Don your capes, fire up your phasers and get ready for a weekend of pop culture fun in Central Texas.

On April 27 and 28, Central Texans can trek to the BASE at Extraco Events Center for Central Texas Comic Con for a chance to meet some of their favorite stars, explore vendor booths, show off their best cosplay and more.

Attractions at the event will reportedly include a vendor hall with over 100 vendors selling their wares from comics to clothing to art, celebrity autographs, panels and Q&As, cosplay contests and more.

Guests may even have a chance to meet some of their favorite stars, with celebrity guest appearances including voice actors Jill Harris, Matt Hill, Austin Tindle, Dallas Reid and David Eddings.

"Get ready for cosplayers, comics, panels, kid's fun and a fantastic vendor hall filled with pop culture treasures," described the Central Texas Comic Con on its website. "Don't miss out on the ultimate geek experience!"

Tickets to Central Texas Comic Con begin at $20 for a day pass and $35 for a weekend pass. Weekend passes for kids 8 and under are $10. VIP passes can be purchased for $100.
