The City of Killeen announced it will host the annual Celebrate Killeen Multicultural Festival in Historic Downtown Killeen on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
The two-day festival, meant to celebrate Killeen's "history, diversity and culture", will run from 6-10 p.m. April 26 and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. April 27, said the City.
According to the City, the festival will feature "a variety of family-friendly entertainment", including live entertainment, a step show competition, a Car, Bike and Truck show and more.
Entertainment on Friday will reportedly include Courtney Rose, Free Ransom and Motenko, while Saturday's lineup will feature performances by Comunidad Nuestras Raices, Sonofuche, Sociedad Cultural Hispanoamericana, Laman Hendricks and more.
Country artist Reyna Roberts will be the headlining act Saturday night, said the City. Roberts has opened for artists such as Reba McEntire and Jamey Johnson, was featured on CMT Giants alongside Luke Combs and can be heard on Beyoncé's new album "Cowboy Carter".
The City of Killeen said guests can also get a bite to eat from food trucks or browse the wares of local vendors.
The event is free to attend and open to everyone, said the City.
Those who would like to register a vehicle in the Car, Bike and Truck show can register early at www.midtexascorvetteclub.org or sign up in person at the event on April 27 from 9-11 a.m.
The City invites residents to come to the event to "experience the pulse of global rhythms, enjoy vibrant cultural performances, and embrace our city’s rich diversity".
