BELTON, Texas — Central Texas boaters are being invited to participate in the Trump 2024 Boat Parade on Lake Belton on Sept. 7.
The community event is reportedly organized by local neighbors and boaters, and is meant to emphasize "citizen political participation, peaceful assembly and boating safety".
All spectators and boaters are invited to attend the event, and admission is free. Citizens are invited to decorate their boats and participate or watch from the shore.
Boats are scheduled to arrive by 1 p.m., with the parade beginning at 3 p.m. at the Belton Lake Dam.
A Trump Boat Parade in 2020 reportedly hosted 700 boats with "hundreds" of spectators along the route, according to organizers.
Following the parade, organizers say there will be a float party including a DJ and live band from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Participants are encouraged to fill up their boats with gas and charge their batteries before the parade.
